Yumma Mudra, alias Myriam Szabo, danse depuis l’âge de trois ans aux U.S.A., avant d’intégrer le Ballet Russe Irina Grjebina à Paris en 1973. A la suite de sa carrière précoce, elle étudie intensivement de nombreuses techniques de danses ainsi que le Qi Gong, le Karaté Shotukan (ceinture noire) et le Hatha Yoga. Mannequin en 1981, l’affiche publicitaire Myriam «Demain, j’enlève le haut » emprunte son prénom pour le grand public mais elle renonce à la célébrité pour se consacrer à sa vocation spirituelle. Diplômée en psychologie contemplative, enseignante du Bouddhisme Tibétain, productrice de festivals culturels au Portugal, fondatrice du réseau international DanzaDuendeNetwork, Yumma Mudra nomme sa vocation la Chorésophie : une voie de sagesse par l’expérience intérieure du geste.

Yumma Mudra, aliás Myriam Szabo, começou a dançar aos três anos de idade nos EUA, antes de integrar o Ballet Russe Irina Grjebina, em Paris, em 1973. Após o início da sua carreira, estudou intensivamente muitas técnicas de dança, bem como Qi Gong, Karate Shotukan (cinturão negro) e Hatha Yoga. Trabalhando como manequim em 1981, o cartaz publicitário que prometia: Demain, j'enlève le haut («Amanhã, vou tirar o top») utiliza o seu nome próprio, Myriam, dirigindo-se com esta promessa ao público em geral, mas Yumma opta por renegar a fama para se dedicar à sua vocação espiritual. Licenciada em psicologia contemplativa, professora de Budismo Tibetano, produtora de festivais culturais em Portugal, e fundadora da rede internacional DanzaDuendeNetwork, Yumma Mudra denomina à sua vocação: Coreosofia, um caminho de sabedoria através da experiência interior do gesto.
Yumma Mudra, aka Myriam Szabo, has been dancing since the age of three in the U.S., before joining the Ballet Russe Irina Grjebina in Paris in 1973. Following her early career, she studied intensively many dance techniques, as well as Qi Gong, Shotukan Karate (black belt) and Hatha Yoga. A model in 1981, the advertising poster where Myriam says Demain, j'enlève le haut («Tomorrow, I'll take off my top») borrowed her first name for the general public, but she gave up fame to devote herself to her spiritual vocation. Graduate in contemplative psychology, teacher of Tibetan Buddhism, producer of cultural festivals in Portugal and founder of the international DanzaDuendeNetwork, Yumma Mudra names her vocation Choresophy: a path of wisdom through the inner experience of gesture.
